2025 SEASON 2 FINAL JACKPOT ROUND

9 teams competed in the Season 2 Final Jackpot Round.
The average number of questions correctly answered was 7.33 out of 12.


The top 2 teams and 4th-placed Sunboyz all answered 9 out of 12 questions correctly.


Stuffed If Barney Knows and Pink Bits were the only teams who got all of the first 6 questions correct.

Pink Bits extended that run by getting Question 7 correct as well.


All of the teams who ended up into the top 3 places were in 1st place sometime during the round.


Question 1 - In which Australian state is the city of Broken Hill located?

5 teams answered correctly in under 1 second.

 Pink Bits and Stuffed If Barney Knows were the fastest, answering in 0.252 and 0.522 seconds respectively.

For some unknown reason Children Of The Revolution moved Broken Hill to Victoria and ended up with a negative score!


Question 2 - Jacinta Allan is Premier of which Australian state?

Pink Bits hung onto the lead, just.

Betty Swallows was the fastest team - they were the only team to answer correctly in under 1 second.

They moved into 2nd place, only 10 points behind Pink Bits.


Question 3 - How many of the 6 Australian states currently have a Labor government?

Pink Bits and Stuffed If Barney Knows were the only teams to get the question right.

Stuffed If Barney Knows answered it 6 seconds faster than Pink Bits and moved into 1st place.

Their lead over Pink Bits was 69 points.


Question 4 - Is singer Cleo Laine still alive?

Pink Bits answered correctly in under 1 second but only gained 50 points on Stuffed If Barney Knows.

He remained in 2nd place, only 19 points behind Stuffed If Barney Knows.

At this stage, Betty Swallows were in 3rd place, but 1,155 points behind Pink Bits.


Question 4 was the beginning of a streak of 7 questions correct for Betty Swallows AND Sunboyz.


Question 5 - Which Grand Slam tennis tournament is currently underway?

Pink Bits gained ground on Stuffed If Barney Knows - he was now only 7 points behind them!

Betty Swallows remained a distant 3rd.


Question 6 - Which Australian actress made her screen debut in the 1991 movie "Spotswood"?

 Stuffed If Barney Knows extended their lead to 41 points.

This question saw Pink Bits' slowest correct response of the round.

As a result, Betty Swallows picked up 117 points on Pink Bits.


Question 7 - How many stars are there on the European Union flag?

 Stuffed If Barney Knows made their first mistake, dropping them down to 3rd place.

This allowed Pink Bits to move in to 1st and Betty Swallows into 2nd.

Pink Bits was ahead of Betty Swallows by 1042 points.

Stuffed If Barney Knows were an additional 116 points behind them.


Question 8 - The English language names of how many African countries end in 'bia'?

This was the first question that Pink Bits got wrong.

Both Stuffed If Barney Knows and Betty Swallows got the question correct.

However, this was both teams' slowest correct response of the round.

Stuffed If Barney Knows took almost 19 seconds and scored 688 points.

Betty Swallows took nearly 32 seconds to come up with a correct response and scored 482 points.

Stuffed If Barney Knows moved into 2nd place, only 313 points behind Pink Bits.

Betty Swallows were now in 3rd place, 87 points behind Stuffed If Barney Knows.


Question 9 - The climax of Hitchcock's 1942 movie "Saboteur" takes place atop which American monument?

Both Pink Bits and Stuffed If Barney Knows slipped up on this question.

Betty Swallows got the question correct, resulting in them moving into 1st place.

4 other teams including Sunboyz also answered the question correctly.

They were the slowest team to answer correctly, taking 23 seconds.

However, they picked up enough points to move them into 2nd place, 432 points behind Betty Swallows.

Pink Bits was now 3rd and Stuffed If Barney Knows were 4th.


Question 10 - Which chemical element gets its name from the Latin for coal?

This was the only question that every team answered correctly.

Stuffed If Barney Knows and Pink Bits were the fastest to answer correctly.

Sunboyz and Betty Swallows were 2nd-slowest and 3rd-slowest respectively.

This resulted in Betty Swallows staying in 1st place, 478 points ahead of Pink Bits who moved into 2nd place.

Sunboyz dropped down to 3rd place, but only 14 points behind Pink Bits.

Stuffed If Barney Knows stayed in 4th place.

They were now 229 points behind Sunboyz, 243 points behind Pink Bits and 721 points behind Betty Swallows.


Question 11 - Salegy is a popular music genre originating in the NW coastal areas of which African country? 

Only Stuffed If Barney Knows and Table 11 got this question right.

This catapulted Stuffed If Barney Knows into 1st place, 192 points ahead of Betty Swallows in 2nd.

Now 3rd, Pink Bits was 354 points behind Betty Swallows.

Sunboyz were 120 points behind Pink Bits in 4th place.


Question 12 -  

The final episode of which TV series was titled "The Truth, Nothing but the  Truth, So Help Me Sam"?

NOBODY answered this question correctly.

The final results now depended on how quickly teams answered it incorrectly.

Betty Swallows took 1.11 seconds, losing 245 points - their most expensive points loss of the round.

Stuffed If Barney Knows took 1.82 seconds, losing 242 points - their most expensive points loss of the round. 

Pink Bits took a little longer - 3.18 seconds - which resulted in a loss of 236 points.

Sunboyz took the longest of the top 4 teams - 5.12 seconds - which meant they only lost 228 points.


As no team made significant inroads on any team above them, the positions remained the same as they were after Question 11 -

1st Stuffed If Barney Knows 

2nd Betty Swallows 

3rd Pink Bits

4th Sunboyz


However, if any of the teams who placed 2nd to 4th had answered Question 12 correctly, it is likely that they would have ended up winning.

Quel dommage!


Stuffed If Barney Knows took out the Major Jackpot, winning $150.

Betty Swallows took out the Minor Jackpot, winning $50.


Stuffed If Barney Knows' last Major Jackpot win was  Season 1 Final in March 2022 .

Betty Swallows' last Minor Jackpot win was Season 2 Final in June 2024 .


There were no questions that only 1 team got correct.


There was 1 question that no team got correct.
