2023 SEASON 2 FINAL JACKPOT ROUND

8 teams competed in the Season 2 Final Jackpot Round.
The average number of questions correctly answered was 6 out of 12.

The top 2 teams both got 8 out of 12 questions correct.

Sunboyz took out the Major Jackpot, winning $300.

Pink Bits took out the Minor Jackpot, winning $100.

Sunboyz' last Major Jackpot win was Season 5 in December 2022.

Pink Bits' last Minor Jackpot win was Season 3 in August 2021.

 Stuffed If Barney Knows answered Question 1 correctly in under 3 seconds.

Sunboyz were the next quickest in just under 8 seconds.

They swapped positions on Question 2, Sunboyz answering correctly nearly 7 seconds faster than Stuffed If Barney Knows.

Children Of The Revolution know their balls - pool balls that is (bad luck Denny Crane).

They were the only team to answer Question 3 correctly.

This propelled them into 1st place, ahead of Sunboyz and Stuffed If Barney Knows.

COTR 1st Sunboyz 2nd is how it remained for Questions 3 to 7.

Denny Crane was the only team to get Question 7 correct (stars on the Slovenian flag).

This was the start of the big downwards slide for Children Of The Revolution.

They got 5 questions (Q7 to Q11) wrong in a row.

Betty Swallows very kindly joined them on their slide to obscurity.

At Question 8, Sunboyz and Pink Bits moved into 1st and 2nd places respectively.

But then Pink Bits began cutting into Sunboyz' lead.

He was 419 points behind at Q7, then 379, then 265, then just 142 points behind at Q10.

You can see how close the battle was in the graph below.

No team got Q11 correct (the Real Teatro di San Carlo question).

Pink Bits answered Q11 a mere 1.1 seconds slower than Sunboyz.

This stretched their lead back out to 161 points.

Q12 was answered by Sunboyz in 3.170 seconds.

Pink Bits answered it in 3.171 seconds, meaning they both scored 947 points.

So Sunboyz remained 161 points ahead of Pink Bits and took out the Major Jackpot.

Only 2 teams - Children Of The Revolution and Denny Crane - had an average score per correct answer in the 900s.
