2025 SEASON 3 FINAL JACKPOT ROUND

10 teams competed in the Season 3 Final Jackpot Round.
The average number of questions correctly answered was 8.7 out of 12.

1st-placed Pink Bits answered 11 out of 12 questions correctly.

2nd-placed Children Of The Revolution and 3rd-placed Sunboyz both answered 10 out of 12 questions correctly.

Question 1 - In which Australian state is Warrnambool located?

Every team answered correctly.

 Pink Bits answered the fastest and took an early lead.

Children Of The Revolution and Betty Swallows answered within 0.008 seconds of each other and nabbed 2nd place jointly.

Question 2 - What is the only Grand Slam tennis tournament that has NOT been held so far this year?

Betty Swallows answered correctly 0.29 seconds faster than Pink Bits and moved ahead of him by 3 points.

COTR were another 2 points behind Pink Bits.

Question 3 - What is the only Australian state that has NOT had a female Premier?

Pink Bits answered correctly 3 seconds faster than Betty Swallows, gaining 48 points on them and moving back into 1st place.

COTR answered correctly a further 3 seconds slower than Betty Swallows, moving 54 points behind them, but managing to hang on to 3rd place.

Question 4 - Is singer Cleo Laine still alive?

A repeat of the same question from the Season 2 Final, but this time she had passed away.

This duplication only caught out Stuffed If Barney Knows and Team Nunya.

Pink Bits and COTR both answered correctly in 0.358 seconds.

This was the highest scoring question of the round by any team.

Pink Bits and COTR both scored 994 points.

COTR remained in 3rd place but caught up 5 points on Betty Swallows. 

Question 5 - In which field of study is 'spaghettification' a technical term?

Pink Bits held onto the lead, answering correctly the fastest in 2.395 seconds.

Sunboyz, who had been lurking in 4th place, answered correctly 6 seconds faster than both Betty Swallows and COTR.

Sunboyz moved into 2nd place, pushing Betty Swallows down to 3rd and COTR down to 4th.

Question 6 - Who directed the 2023 movie "Barbie"? 

Every team answered this question correctly.

Sunboyz took 9.334 seconds to give the correct answer.

COTR and Betty Swallows answered correctly 8 seconds and 5 seconds faster than Sunboyz respectively.

This resulted in both of them tying on 5678 points. 

They nabbed 2nd place jointly, 202 points behind Pink Bits, pushing Sunboyz into 3rd.

Question 7 - How many stars are there on the flag of São Tomé and Príncipe?

COTR answered correctly in 1.167 seconds.

Pink Bits took 23.729 seconds to do the same which resulted in his lowest-scoring correct question.

As a result of this, COTR moved into 1st place, with a lead of 174 points over Pink Bits.

Sunboyz remained in 3rd place but were joined by Betty Swallows.

They were 1052 points behind Pink Bits.

Question 8 - In ancient Rome, what was the female equivalent of the men's toga?

Of the 4 teams in the top 3 places, only Betty Swallows got this wrong.

They got pushed down to 6th place, a position from which they never recovered.

COTR's lead over Pink Bits was reduced to 78 points.

Sunboyz remained in 3rd by themselves, but now they were now 1,177 points behind Pink Bits.

Question 9 - The final episode of which TV series in 2019 was titled "The Stockholm Syndrome"?

Both COTR and Sunboyz slipped up on this question.

They were the only teams to get it wrong.

This allowed Pink Bits to take back the lead.

COTR managed to hold onto 2nd place, but were now 1,074 points behind Pink Bits.

Ita Buttcheeks came out of nowhere (well, actually 5th) to grab 3rd place, 500 points behind COTR.

Question 10 - "Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat" is a 19th century painting by which artist?

This was the last of 3 questions that every team got right.

Every team remained in exactly the same place as for Question 9.

However, Pink Bits increased his lead to 1,105 points.

Ita Buttcheeks reduced COTR's lead over them to 490 points.

Question 11 - What was the name given to Apollo 10's Lunar Module?

Only Pink Bits, Sunboyz and Quiz On My Face got this question right.

Pink Bits increased his lead to a massive 2267 points over COTR who were able to hold onto 2nd place.

Sunboyz overtook Ita Buttcheeks to nab 3rd place, 230 points behind COTR.

Question 12 - How many people were killed in total during the hostage crisis and subsequent events at the Munich Olympics in 1972?

Only COTR, Sunboyz and Quiz On My Face got this question right.

Finally Pink Bits got a question wrong, but his lead over COTR was too big for them to catch him.

However, COTR were able to reduce their deficit to 1165 points.

Sunboyz answered quicker than COTR and they ended up 208 points behind COTR.

Despite the gains COTR and Sunboyz made, the positions remained the same as they were after Question 11 -

Pink Bits' score of 10141 points is the highest score for a Season Final Jackpot Round since the current scoring system was implemented (Season 5 in December 2018).

The previous record was held by Sunboyz with 9665 points for Season 5 in December 2022.

Pink Bits took out the Major Jackpot, winning $300.

Children  Of The Revolution took out the Minor Jackpot, winning $100.

Pink Bits' last Major Jackpot win was  Season 3 Final in August 2024 .

Children  Of The Revolution's last Minor Jackpot win was Season 5 Final in December 2023 .
